2 Corinthians 1:20 “For all the promises of God, whatever their number, have their confirmation in Him; and for this reason through Him also our “Amen” acknowledges their truth and promotes the glory of God through our faith.” (WNT)
The Key to Divine Response
The prayer that God answers is the one that makes demand on the promises of God. When we come to God in prayer with the promises, we are asking for something that has already been confirmed and concluded, waiting for our request for their manifestation.
Prayer that gains God’s attention, and receives divine response, is the one that acknowledges the promises of God. When you come to God with His promise, you are demonstrating your faith in the fact, that the promise has been confirmed in Christ.Prayer that gains God’s attention, and receives divine response, is the one that acknowledges the promises of God. What Moves God to Respond
God will always answer a prayer, that makes a demand on His promises. God has never attended to any request, outside His word; and He will never, no matter how long we stay, or shout at the altar of prayer. God’s promise, determines God’s response to all requests.
God only performs His word, and fulfils His promises. An effective and effectual prayer, is not a function of time invested, or energy expended at the altar; it is a function of the promises of God.
The Number Factor to Divine Response
It is good to spend hours in praying, and agonizing in the place of Intercession; but we must make sure we come with the promise of God, because at the end of the day, it is the number one factor, that will determine, whether or not we get result for our labour, in the place of prayer.
You remember, after three and a half years of famine in Israel, Elijah prayed for rain to fall, and the rain started, when he had barely finished praying. What was the secret? The promise of God! Elijah went to God on the basis of the promise, and God honoured his prayer, by fulfilling His promise. (1 Kings 18:1, 41-46)
