Jeroboam king of Israel mobilized eight hundred thousand soldiers, against Abijah king of Judah. He was double sure of victory, because they were twice the number of the army of Judah, which was four hundred thousand soldiers.
By the time Abijah and the army of Judah will realize, Jeroboam and the army of Israel had drawn the battle lines before and behind them. All signals showed that victory belonged to Israel; they were greater in size, smarter with strategy, and excellent in battle plan implementation.
Although, Judah was caught unawares, but he did not forget the secret code of divine intervention. The men of Judah shouted, and the God of heaven smote Jeroboam and all Israel before His people.
2 Chronicles 13:15 (KJV) “Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.”
The king of Israel did not know, that victory is not a function of the size, or the strength of an army; and it is not determined by military skill and strategy. There is a divine dimension to victory, that goes beyond human calculation and projection.
Judah won the battle, by shouting unto the Lord. Judah’s shout was not an expression of fear, because God does not respond to fear, He responds to faith. It was a sound of reliance, demonstrating their confidence in the backing of the God of heaven.
If Judah had kept quiet, they would have lost the battle. Please, get the principle from Judah’s testimony, if you don’t keep your mouth shut, the enemy cannot cut your life short.
No matter the intensity of the attack, open your mouth, and cry to the Lord. The Bible is full of testimonies of divine intervention, that is connected to the sound of reliance.
Father, arise and disappoint every satanic battle line and demonic strategy fashioned against my life, in Jesus’ name.
